How Much Snow?
 
Well although we are enjoying peak ski conditions in Eldorado Basin where you will find a five foot base with 16 inches of fresh powder for all your skiing enjoyment, here around the main ranch the snow is melting.  We are enjoying some beautifully warm days.  We have been out on a few trail rides on the still wooly horses.  However, even they are starting to shed their warm winter coats in hopes that spring is now on it's way!

WILDERNESS GUIDE TRAINING SCHOOL
 
First class is scheduled to begin May 1st.  For those of you considering a career in adventure tourism, the horse industry or to expand your knowledge in back country living this is a great learning opportunity for you!  Courses are available in two week or four week modules working from beginner to advanced training.  The program includes; basic horsemanship skills, horse packing, horse shoeing, back country living, camp preparation, working with teams, tourist guiding, wilderness safety, plant and wildlife identification and so much more.  This hands on training program takes place at both our main ranch and mountain camp locations.  Registered with the Private Post Secondary Education of BC, Human Resource Funding is available!

RANCH AND RIDE PACKAGES   
Stay in your own comfortable cabin with full cooking facilities and incorporate trail riding packages into your stay.  We will customize each trip for your groups needs.  Three cabins available that sleep between 2 to 5 guests each.  Cabin rentals are $50.00 per night and trail riding is $25.00 per hour.  When you book both at the same time you will appreciate a substantial savings on the trail riding.  One hour to all day trail rides available for all ages!

CITY SLICKER PACKAGE
Live life the way the cowboys do!  This trip will be exclusively offered once a year in the fall.  No fancy frills, just the way it is really done.  Come help us wrangle in the strays still out on range for one of BC's most famous cattle ranches.  Here is your opportunity.  Only six places available and dates are yet to be determined.  It will be 7 days of spike camping on the trail.  Your trip will be determined by the paths of the cattle out in the hills.  All meals will be around the campfire and everyone will pitch in with the chores.  This is a truly hands on experience.   
 
7 DAY INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM TO WILDERNESS GUIDE TRAINING
Our Two Week Beginner Program narrowed into one full week.  This program will be located at both the main ranch and a mountain camp.  Classes are kept small for a more quality training program.  All topics of the two week program will be reviewed.  If you don't have the time but want to familiarize yourself with working with horses or just want to feel more comfortable around them this is a great program for you! ALSO....our four week module can be broken up into 1 week increments!
 
2004 SPRING GRIZZLY VIEWING TRIPS
 
7 Day Pack Horse Tour in the early spring right when the bears start to show up out of hibernation.  Dates will be determined by the bears!  Come and view this massive animal as he emerges from his winter den to feast upon the grasslands.  Bring your camera to capture it all!
